Ways to play

The lobby

Create a custom lobby and it appears on the home page for anyone to join. Choose the teams (1 v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 3, 4 v 4, or a free-for-all of 3 to 8 fighters), the arena (standard, double height, double width or double size) and whether the lobby is public or private. In a 1 v 1 the first person to accept starts the match; in a bigger lobby everyone takes a seat, you can add bots, and the match starts when every seat is filled or when you press Fill with bots and start. Custom lobbies are unrated, but you still earn coins and experience. Stay on the site while you wait: a listed lobby is closed shortly after its creator leaves. A private lobby or challenge link stays open for 15 minutes, so you can leave the page to send the link.

Challenge links

Choose "Challenge a friend" for a private link. Only people who have the link can join, and anyone can watch the match once it starts.

Bots

"Play a bot" starts a practice match right away against a server-controlled bot, always labeled as a bot. Opponents include Ironclad, Cinder, Halo, Fletch.

Watching and rematches

The Games tab lists live matches to watch and recent ones to replay. After a duel, ask for a rematch from the result window; against a person, they get an offer they can accept.
